Who’s seen this??

AIBU to have been totally freaked out by this film?
Not many films/documentaries have given me the creeps but yikes...I hardly slept last night after watching this!
Still felt a bit jumpy going downstairs to get a cuppa for me and OH Blush

OH said it was crap and not scary at all...

So am I wrong? Was it crap and I’m just a big wuss?

I watched it many years ago and hardly remember it. I enjoyed it but I've seen much worse, in the sense of scary. YANBU if you were spooked by it. I felt like that after watching The Sixth Sense. Couldn't go to the loo in the middle of the night for so long!

Number3BigCupOfTea · 07/03/2021 08:23

Oooh must watch it. I like things that stay with you.

It's funny, sixth sense did stay with me but it did not frighten me in my daily life.

Eaumyword · 07/03/2021 08:26

I really like this film I like how resourceful they were as opposed to just giving up!
I always think how scary it is that there are (thankfully not many!) some people out there who are driven to take people and hurt them.
I love a good suspense film, but can't do jump scare horror/supernatural any more, that's what would stop me sleeping now.

I’m not usually a fan of ‘thriller’ type films but this had me hooked from the start!
I’d never really thought of how the 999/911 operators must cope hearing such horrific things.

I’m still never going downstairs at night to get a drink on my own though....Grin

Just watched 15 minutes of that film. What a harrowing job it must be.
There's a danish film ''The guilty'' about a 112 operator as well. I found that draining more than ''thrilling''. Needed a week off work after it! And mine is a desk job.

Number3BigCupOfTea · 07/03/2021 15:49

I just watched that. Good grief. I need glass of wine. Is it too early?

Magnificentmug12 · 07/03/2021 15:53

I watched it a few years ago, I’m a major wimp when it comes to films but don’t remember being scared.

Do remember the part where she sticks her arm out the light of the bonnet though and thinking that’s a good idea- if it ever happens to me I know what to do 😂

@Magnificentmug12

I felt like I should be taking notes...just incase!

Paint ✔️
Smash back light ✔️
Make sure phone is always charged ✔️
Never go anywhere on my own ever again ✔️

I remember it being good and tense, but not scary.

Lizadork · 07/03/2021 16:15

Don't forget carrying an extra phone.

I watched it a few nights ago, didn't find it too scary but can see how it might be triggering and emotionally charging. I did enjoy it but that ending didn't quite morally sit right with me even if "deserved".

Magnificentmug12 · 07/03/2021 17:10

Ahh the ending was the best bit!! 10 years in prison then back out to kill a few more girls......nahhhhh!

Loved it!

Fembot123 · 07/03/2021 17:11

I liked it

Neron · 07/03/2021 19:11

DH and I also watched this last night.
I thought it was a great film. Thought provoking, in that the call handlers may never get closure, especially on life/death/harrowing calls
