AIBU to think shielding should be extended?

I know there has been no confirmation yet if shielding will be extended, but AIBU to think it needs to be. I know most shielders have had their first jabs and the figures are going in the right direction, but it feels too soon.

People who want to continue to shield can do so.

Are you meaning for work purposes? My employer has said I can work from home for the rest of this year regardless of shielding advice......maybe yours would say the same .....or are you asking for a different reason?

@user8542367 I know your fears, I'm shielding, will be 29 weeks pregnant by the time I go back, haven't had vaccine due to pregnancy, and I'm due to go back into retail.

Familyfallout · 05/03/2021 15:12

I'm shielding and wish it would end. I have had first vaccine and would like to go back to working outside the house (public role but not retail) as I am becoming more and more reclusive.

If you feel you need to , chat to your GP and ask about your risk and whether a sick note is in order. Not all shielding people face the same level of risk.
I can’t wait for it to be over to be honest. My brain is atrophying.
