Will L shaped dormer block neighbours sun?

We are hoping to do an L shaped dormer, but we are friendly with our neighbours and I'm worried it will block their sun. Will it?

Eh...

How could anyone possibly know that without seeing both houses, the distance between them, their east/west alignment, the height of the rooves.... Nobody can tell you that over the internet!

My magic 8 ball says

You would need too speak to your neighbours, find out were the sun is but chances are it will. We have a wooden gazebo it blocks light in a part of our garden. It’s not particularly big and only affects our garden.

How on earth would we be able to tell you without knowing what your current layout looks like?

Haha, ok I didn't realise what a stupid question it was! There are some guys doing a loft conversion over the road so I'll ask them to come take a look.
