What is going on with my body

Sorry posting here for traffic. I had a scan in January when I was supposed to be 10 weeks pregnant. Unfortunately baby had died at 6 weeks. I was booked in for a comformation scan 10 days later on the 28th January.
Whilst waiting for the scan I started bleeding very heavily with huge clots however the scan showed I had 0.8cm retained products. Was advised to wait it out and test in 3 weeks.
I've tested around 3 times a week since and all have been positive. My bleeding had stopped by the time of the second scan.
Last week it started again. I thought finally my period and the retained tissue is coming away yet my tests are still positive. I had a 1-2 week result this morning almost 6 weeks after my mmc. EPU have just advised to wait another 2 weeks. Has anyone else experienced this. I have bipolar and health anxiety and this is making it 10 times worse. I feel I'll be left infertile from scarring if the retained products are still there.
Any advice would be appreciated

I'm really sorry you're experiencing this. It sounds very hard. Hopefully someone else will come along that has some useful information.

Have you been having sex in the weeks since the scan? I've only had a quick google but most people seem to test negative about 2-3 weeks after a miscarriage.

Sorry, posted too soon. As in, could it be a new pregnancy and inplantation bleeding?

@ellpellwood. Yes we have been. I've tried looking for the answer but I assumed because I've never had a negative then I wouldn't ovulate. That thought has crossed my mind but from looking it up I'm not sure it's possible

Updating to see if anyone else has advice. Yesterday I had a really faint pink dye positive and a negative digital. This morning the digital was positive again. I feel like I'm going crazy and getting nowhere with epu or my gp

Is there a possibility you could have fallen pregnant again? If you went for a scan in Jan but had sadly miscarried, you are around 7/8 weeks on from that? Obviously, I don't want to get your hopes up but just wondering about the possibility.

Can you contact the GP today and get them to push for a scan at the EPU?

I'm not sure if it's possible because since my scan I have not had a negative apart from the one yesterday. Can you ovulate with hcg in your system?
I have spoken to epu today because they told me to test 3 weeks after my appointment and to contact them if positive. However everytime I've rung they've said oh just wait another week and test again. It's so frustrating
