To ask a weird question (possible health anxiety)

If you run your fingers across your collarbone or clavicle, does it feel equal on both sides?
On one side of mine it feels smooth as you'd expect but on the other side near to my shoulder it feels knobbly like the bone has a bump on it. It's definitely not gristle or a swelling, it feels like part of the bone.
Years ago I was diagnosed with general anxiety but now I'm thinking it's developing into health anxiety as I get shooting pains in my neck but only since I discovered this or when I think about it (I get these weird physical feelings when I have panic attacks as well so that makes me think it's in my mind as well).
I've NCed because this is so embarrassing to ask but I'm a regular poster.

I have health anxiety and this is something I stress about all the time - you’re not alone!

If you are worried, you should speak to your GP but just to reassure, bodies are not symmetrical so there will always be some difference on either side of your body.

Can never know for sure. Health anxiety can get a lot worse over time - Self refer to IAPT for free CBT if you would like treatment for it. :)

t’s very easy to feel bits of your body and find lumps that you are sure you haven’t felt before- if you’re worried speak to your gp ( for the anxiety and lump)

Have you broken it in the past? They don't always heel smoothly.

If you're worried, speak to your gp - that's what they're there for :)

Thanks all. It's not that I'm worried about cancer or anything serious, it's just bugging me because I've never broken it and can't think why it feels like it does.
Unfortunately can't get a GP app atm but hopefully with better times ahead I will

Mine is the same. Always has been.

I had a lump at the bottom of my neck for as long as I can remember, I always thought it was just a normal part of my spine. 3yrs ago I had a massive red swelling near this lump, turned out it was a sybacious (sp) cyst that had harmlessly been there for 30+ years. Mine had burst, hence the red swelling, but could be something as simple as that or nothing at all
