Weirdest dress size chart!

I had to heck that this was not maternity wear! What am I missing here?

A small is a 40 inch waist?????

Is it a company which caters only for plus size women?

I’d say that the units have been mixed up and some of those are cm and others inches; except 40cm is only 15 minutes inches and nobody has a waist that small.

Is it a “proper” store, or from somewhere like Wish, where they generally seem to just make up the sizing?

It would make more sense if the numbers for waist were actually for hips, but that would roughly go 14, 16, 18 and 20 for S, M, L and XL.

The measurements say they are the item measurements, I’m guessing it’s trapeze/swing type tops/dresses?

The bust sizes are all smaller than the waist, which is unusual unless it's the measurement of the item and it's A line?

I was just coming on here to say that it's item measurements but person's body measurements.

Those dresses don't look larger on the waist than the bust in fact the first one looks like it tapers in at the waist.
