How far to travel for exercise

Hi,

My mental health has been really really bad this lockdown, as I'm sure it has for many people and there is nothing more I want to do today than to travel 50 minutes away to go for a walk in a place I love. This place is in the same county as where I live. Would I be unreasonable to just go?

I think the message is still stay at home for the time being so 50mins is too far sorry.

It's not really local is it? Sympathise tho. Maybe look for a place 15 mins away?

miltonj · 28/02/2021 12:06

Just go! Smile

I would.

Only reason I haven’t is because I live somewhere with nice places 30 mins in all directions.

Depends if it's the law or guidance. If it's just guidance then you're doing nothing wrong. If the law says you can't go then unfortunately you can't go.

If you mean you can walk there in 50 min then that sounds fine, if you mean driving then that's too far away. Lockdown doesn't mean a nearly an hour each way trip in your car?

idontlikealdi · 28/02/2021 12:14

I'm usually in the just go camp but the police were out in our local park yesterday asking where people had come from and separating groups. So perhaps not at the moment.

I sympathise, but No, you shouldn't go. It's too far. We would all benefit from being able to travel and get out more, but we have to wait
