Ds was given a locum cpn a few months back. This cpn left and didn’t even tell ds he found out through his friend that had the same cpn. Fast forward a few months without support leading to a sectioned hospital admission. He was given another locum. He wasn’t aware this person was a locum. He had an appointment with them on Monday they didn’t ring he then text them. They replied and said “I’m a locum and I no longer work there” now aibu to think they could have told him before they left. He only spoke to them last week. Now no sign of him being allocated another one.

Can you ask to speak to the manager? There must be a community mental health team manager you can speak to?

Could you contact the PALS team for the trust?

Definitely speak to the manager of the team to complain and also speak to PALS. Locums do come and go but there should be some communication

Thank you, yes I understand they do come and go but it’s upsetting for him. As this is the second time it’s happened to him in the last few months. I think they least they could do is tell a patient they are leaving.
