To ask has anyone with a lifetime paunch ever shifted it?

... and if so how?! :)

Had a little belly since childhood even though I was never really overweight til thirties. I realise now my diet was never great and whilst I was active never exercised in dedicated way. Have decided I really want to get healthy now and understand that tummy fat is the least healthy. Eating well, got a trainer, exercising loads and so far weight coming off and getting fitter and stronger but tum not shifting and actually looking more floppy and big by contrast 😂😂😂 It’s not quite an apron but definitely a combo of loose post pregnancy skin and some fat too. Has anyone managed to shift this? Realise is a long game, not looking for quick fix just a sense of realistic prospects 😂😂😂

My tummy only finally went once I got down to the lower end of my BMI. It just seems to be where most of my weight is carried.

I started to see a real shift in my muffin tops after a 10 day Pilates retreat. I have had them 15 years.

Reformer Pilates OP, that is what you want, targetted to the area.

Have you tried low carb? I'm not particularly huge but have always had this, apart from when I limit carbs and don't eat them at all after lunch. Trouble is I love carbs Grin

If you've been pregnant have you been checked for diastasis recti?

Oversizedhoodie · 25/02/2021 18:53

These are all fab suggestions and give me some good ideas to follow up, thank you. I have been checked for DR yes, good shout though - think pregnancy made it worse but been this general way since primary Grin

Vaser lipo Grin

I've always had a belly. My limbs were always long slim and toned but I had stubborn belly fat that wouldn't go. If I bothered dieting properly I would lose weight on my face and arms but never my belly/muffin tops.
So I took it into my own (surgeons) hands and got baser lipo last year. Am so happy with it!

Dr Mike Comins at Hans Place. Approx £6500 for five areas (upper and lower abs, lower back, flanks and back bra strap)

Not cheap, you can get it much much cheaper abroad for example BUT I felt much safer and if you aren't happy with the results he will do a touch up at no extra cost

Thank you so much!

I need The answer to this! I used to have a gorgeous flat tummy when I was a teenager and I even wore cropped tops. Then I had DS at 19 and it’s got worse and worse. Currently rocking the Michelin man look, not cool. If I carry on like this then I’ll be going up a dress size and it’s one I’ve never been before 😬
