To go for a new job

I have been back at work two months since being on maternity leave. Only had 7 months off as that's all we could afford. I absolutely hate my job. Tbf I hated it before having a baby but now I really dread it.
My original plan was to look for a new job on maternity leave but due to Covid I thought it was risky and starting a new job could leave me unemployed if the company then cut back.
At the moment I'm really not well (not Covid related) and in so much pain I cry after my shift. Can't really risk not going in as I have already had 10 days off as my daughter tested positive for Covid. Plus we are really short staffed.
What I really want is to be a SAHM (not popular on here I know) but we can't afford that. So my second choice is to go for a job in the field I'm training in but is it still risky? Would you stay in a job you hate for a few more months, when hopefully things will be more stable or make the move now? Would it be selfish to return to work for more hours even though time off is better? How did you make a job you disliked more bearable?
This is a bit beside the point but if you were advised not to work would you carry on if you didn't want to end up unemployed?
YABU =stay where you are
YANBU =leave now
