Sorry for any discrepancies but being an insomniac it happens sometimes, no sleep, work, family life blah blah blah, you get what I mean

Well my children are amazing putting up with crazy Mom who sleeps at odd hours.

So I just woke up from a nap on my sofa at 3am to giggles as they headed off to bed.. to find a post it note on my dining room door

"Mom, it's alive and on Dad's desk, don't touch it"

So okay Mumsnet insomniacs do your worst and scare me witless as to what lurks in my dining room 😂

I've not the foggiest. Cactus? Slug? Mouldy fruit?

A mouldy abandoned coffee.

Dad?

sleepylittlebunnies · 21/02/2021 03:43

A lifelike cat that you’ll think is real at first glance but actually isn’t alive.

@user64332

Dad?
Shock oh dear

😂😂😂

I'm assuming it's held captive somehow so -- if it was a snake they wouldn't tell me not to touch it, they'd say do not go in there!!! 😯😯

  1. Your dreaded MIL half naked in handcuffs and duct tape, after being caught up to no good!
  2. A mouse.
  3. A spider.
  4. A moth. Well, some people are terrified of them!
  5. Fungus covered coffee or snack.
  6. A dog.
  7. A cat.
  8. An alien. And that's all I can think of for now.
FrumpyDumpyDragon · 21/02/2021 05:44

I wanted to guess it was a cactus, but that was literally the first suggestion, and I can't think of anything else but a spider or moth in a jar.

A sourdough starter? Your husband, but tied up?
