To buy a dyson AND a roomba?

Wooden floors throughout the house, upstairs and downstairs. 2 cats. 2 kids. We’re short on time due to work and our Miele cat and dog has just died.

We can afford it no probs but I always have a guilt trip about spending out big chunks of cash Confused

I figure the roomba can do the bulk of the floors and the dyson can do the rest (cat hairs off bed, stairs, cobwebs, corners etc).

I have a Eufy and a Tineco stick vacuum. Perfect combo. Do it!

I have a eufy and a Dyson cordless - best thing ever! Setting off the eufy when I’m at work and coming home to clean floors with zero effort is amazing! I’ve got a dog too who sheds and it makes so much difference.

I would have both too, they have the same job but work in different ways. Eufy is much cheaper than a Roomba and just as good IMO.

StephenBelafonte · 20/02/2021 07:24

I've got both. Do it!

Love my Dyson robo vac, but you'll definitely need another vacuum too.
Whatever you need to make your life even slightly easier gets my vote

Yes easier life needed. I work bloody hard so god knows why I feel the need to justify this.

What models?

Will look into this Eufy thing too.

YABU for wanting a Dyson. Awful things. If you want a hand-held, Miele now do them.

Haffiana · 20/02/2021 16:42

Do it.

The one thing I have learned over many years is to buy the best quality gadget that you can. That way you get years of really enjoying using it, rather than a couple of years of mild irritation and then you end up buying the one you should have got in the first place anyway, so twice as expensive as well.

A Which subscription is a really good starting point.

My roomba cost about a month of having a cleaner (been saving money and now Covid so no longer have one). We had already bought a shark - great combo.

If and when we get a cleaner again I’ll 100% put it on before they get here- literally no downside to making everyone’s life easier!

Honestly I walked into our kitchen yesterday and looked at the floor with horror. Food, sand, dried mud, crafting crap. Got a cup of coffee, sat in sitting room mumsnetting white the roomba was shut in kitchen working its magic. Hurrah!

I'd definitely get a roomba if I had a cat! (Check out You Tube.)

mummybearhug · 20/02/2021 17:13

Do it, they’re good quality and will last. Buy cheap, buy twice

MereDintofPandiculation · 20/02/2021 17:41

Do it, they’re good quality and will last. Buy cheap, buy twice Of course, if cheap is only one third of the price, you can buy twice and still be quids in.

I have a Eufy and an upright Dyson.
