Covid test - they didn't scan the QR code

AIBU to be worried we won't get the result.
Did a drive through covid test today, booked on the website.
Am 99.99% sure it's not covid (recurring condition) but dutifully booked a test due to slight temp. Really want a negative result asap so we don't have to keep the kids indoors for nothing. They really need the daily walk.

Have just realised that at no point did anyone ask to scan the QR code that is sent when you book - this has been scanned with all previous tests we have attended. The person who scanned the test tube barcode before taking it appeared to have entered the car numberplate into her device. I had entered the numberplate on the website when booking.
I'm worrying that because they didn't scan the QR code there is no way to link that test to us and therefore no way to be told the result.

Can anyone reassure me?

They didn't scan mine either. It's only to I'd you but they used my car reg number to log me in

BabbleBee · 19/02/2021 16:55

They didn’t scan mine either, just used car details and what we’d put online.

BlueTimes · 19/02/2021 16:58

The QR code isn’t even an option for people who don’t have or won’t provide an email address but the car registration is fine.

The car reg is used sometimes instead of qr. it all links back to your details so don't worry they will be able to send your result.

Oh, phew, thanks for the reassurance.
We've done soooooo many tests thanks to germy kids but they've always scanned the code before so had a panic when I realised they hadn't today.
