My husband and I are fairly useless with house buying/selling, that I'm now unsure what to do. We live in 2 bed end terrace and I'd like a 3 bed home. We do have space to the side so an option would be to build an extension - but how much do these cost? How hard are they? Or we move. Our house has a few issues and I wonder how much we need to resolve before we could sell it. My husband thinks we need to do it all, I begrudge spending a lot of money on somewhere we're no longer going to be living and would rather money spent on new house. Issues are - front has new double glazing, back is older and not great. It has a "lean to"/utility bit, which is damp and has mold, with brickwork looking like needs work. Roof could probably do with being doing, some gaps - but we've had no leaks. It has an outdated bathroom. Rest of decor is fine (neutral) and would just be up to new residents to paint to their taste. What would you do? If move, what do I need to do and what (if anything) could I leave?
