So the PlayStation 5 got released in November. Very limited stock and like gold dust to get hold of. I understand this for the first drop as it builds the hype around the product and the exclusivity. However, the second drop has came around today, 3 months after the original release, and all retailers where again sold out in minutes. They are basically impossible to get your hands on.
Surely Sony knew that the second drop would be so popular as so many people didn't get one first time around. So why haven't they produced more units? I just don't understand it from a business point of view as surely now at 3 months past original release, you would want as many units out there as possible?
I just don't understand, people will get bored eventually and stick to what they've got, rather than bothering with the rush of trying to get one.
What is the point in bringing a product out that hardly anyone can get access to??? It puts a bad name on the company in my opinion and doesn't scream 'exclusivity', it screams 'the company is incompetent in producing units' to me.
AIBU or has the rage of refreshing Very for the past god knows how many hours got to me 😩😩😩
