Yes I totally expect to be flamed here and told off for posting in AIBU so I do apologise!

I need someone to calm me down regarding my 3(almost 4) year old.

So my daughter has had a temperature for 4 weeks now! On Jan 19th she had her preschool boosters and unfortunately I became infected with covid and became quite poorly so I know she had a temperature and when I started to feel better 2 weeks later I noticed she was still spiking a fever so I had her tested and she was positive for covid. However it has been 2 weeks since her positive test and she's still got a high temperature. It's not constant it's up and down it doesn't go below 37 and now isnt going above 38 she feels red hot to the touch ! Other then complaining she's tired every now and then she's fine, doctors are blaming covid and are telling me to wait it out. I'm worried sick about her! I don't expect medical advics , just others experiences of !lingering temperatures after covid or some reassurrancd. Please be kind it's been a tough month

OP that’s rough, sorry you have both been so ill! Sounds like she’s still fighting an illness off, I would be double checking for any signs of infection (rashes, sickness, digestive issues). If they are well in themselves try not to worry too much.

Hopefully it should go down to a more normal temp soon. No experience here but I shall keep my fingers crossed she’s recovers soon

She seems to be fine, slightly less active them normal and I mean ever so slight. I think I’m being overly paranoid and watching her for everything and doubting how she used to be before. And as you can imagine google has sent my mind wild! Thanks for the support x
