Posting for traffic really

I have two kids oldest is 3.5. Since having them I have claimed to be too tired to exercise and basically eaten crap. I do cook from scratch and have fruit and veg every day but also a lot of chocolate, regular takeaways. I struggled when they were v small to fit in exercise (other than walks to the park etc).

I am an ok weight but I am not a healthy person. I am also around 1.5 stone over what I think is my normal weight. Pre kids I went to the gym 5 times a week, ate well v healthy.

Please help me start this again. I know I just need to make myself but I try and then just stop. My youngest is now a toddler and sleeps well so I can't moan about being tired (just mentally drained but I know exercise and eating well will help).

I'm also scared I will have done long term damage with 3 years abusing my body. I'm 33.

I'm sure you haven't done long term damage

I would suggest small, sustainable lifestyle changes are better than drastic changes which fizzle out

So, smaller helpings, walk 15 mins per day, build up to 20, then 30. Walk short journeys instead of driving

And think about being a good role model for your children. That's a great incentive
