“Here we have...”

I keep on seeing this phrase used when describing items for sale on FB marketplace recently and it’s driving me bonkers, I hate it.

For example - “Here we have a piece of old tat that I’ve badly upcycled in a poor attempt to make a few quid”.

Much prefer the straightforward descriptions - “piece of old tat, condition isn’t great but might suit someone in need”.

I’m not even sure WHY it pisses me off so much, maybe it’s because I think they’re trying to make their item sound fancy (and they’re never fancy items!)

So, AIBU?

Dislike that too much not as much as "it'll do someone a turn"
