Parcels and snow.

Hi all, I live in area where it never snows. We have sunshine. I’ve been expecting a couple parcels via Hermes for days and was starting to get peed off then realised that it’s most likely due to snow in other parts? It seems to be stuck at one of their sorting hubs since Friday. It hasn’t reached my local depot.

So aibu to just sit and wait or would you contact them?

Generally my experience with Hermes has always been positive so this really is a one off. But frustrating as one is pretty important.

To add, I don’t expect couriers to be fully operational during the snow!

There's been very heavy snow across lots of the UK, you know this and understand and you state you don't expect couriers to be fully operational.

Haven't you answered your own question?

If you're waiting weeks then contact whoever you purchased from and arrange something else, but waiting a few days for post is just normal. There's also a pandemic at the moment, which may affect staffing levels at various places from time to time leading to delays.

I am very aware there is snow in other places. I’m just wondering if it’s actually from the snow or not.

Also very aware there’s a pandemic but generally not had any problems so far. Usually Hermes are very quick once it gets into their system.

I’ve had a parcel turn up via Hermes I ordered yesterday. Yet my other ones seem to be stuck in transit 😭
