Why do Andy and Jen never say "oops, we just broke that thing you really need but it's ok, we're going to use our super car/submarine to whip through time, space and size dimensions to get another one. Back in 10."?

Mr Hammond is in charge. They used to work in a museum. Surely Mr Hammond was the one who gave them the grand tour of Safari World and pointed out the amazing shrinkable car and submarine with wormhole capabilities.

He's a completely dimwitted baffoon, obvious to everything, so of course has no idea!

However...

In our home we often point out how on earth Andy/Jen manage to get through audit with their milage and power/fuel usage for all of these unrecorded escapades (yes, we are fun at parties)

As much as I love Andy, how the hell he didn't notice he'd eaten Mr Hammond's ENTIRE jar of imported honey after just having a bite with toast, after toast, after toast, I don't know

Yes! Exactly! Surely Mr Hammond must have reports from the Finance Director who reports back on how much it has cost each month to develop, charge, and clean the vehicles. Surely there must be an R&D department and patents and intellectual property that Mr Hammond must get an overview of? Surely there must be risk assessments and paperwork up to the rafters. I have to fill out a bunch of forms about lifting boxes at my work so goodness knows how much risk assessment and non-disclosure paperwork Andy and Jen should've signed when they started.
