To be worried?

I am ill at the moment with pleurisy which I've had a lot of times and it is suspected this is maybe indicating an auto immune condition

I had a load of blood tests on Wednesday and am being sent for a chest X Ray

I've just missed a call from a number which is either my GP / Local Hospital (it comes up as the same number which ever phones me)

I am now really worried. Why would they call me at 6pm on a Saturday? No message has been left and the GP is shut (tried calling them)

My immediate thought was something awful is wrong and I am worrying. DH has said maybe they were just calling to arrange the chest x ray and if it was urgent they would have left a message but I am freaking out a bit.

Any reassurance would be much appreciated. They would have left a message if it was something serious wouldn't they? :(

My wife had a really bad blood test result. Her GP phoned at 6:45 in the evening. The GP left a message on our home phone then called my mobile (My mobile number is on the home phone answering machine message).
I think if it was something serious they would have left a message.

It was an interesting call as we were in a restaurant and had just ordered a meal and a bottle of wine. I asked for the cap for the wine as we needed to go to hospital, we did eat the meal and after a night in hospital my wife was much better. Every time we go to that restaurant when they are open we get asked how we are

Thanks @Paul72. I hope your wife is ok now.

If there had been anything serious on the bloods they would have been in touch before today. Hopefully just trying to arrange the x-ray.

Thanks @pearpickingporky84. The more I think about it the more rational I am. Must be appointments trying to arrange the x ray.

I had a call from hospital recently at 6pm, it was because the person I was due to see had to cancel by appointment - could be due to something like that?

LApprentiSorcier · 06/02/2021 19:30

If it was urgent they would have left a message.

Every time I have an appointment at the hospital I get a call to confirm it from an automated number. Do you have voicemail? Because if I miss it it flicks to voicemail but the message is unclear as it's part of the automated process. Could it be this confirming your appointment

I think it must have been about the appointment - thanks all I’ve calmed down now 😊
