Probably being petty....

Am I being unreasonable to want to report the school governors and spouses of said governors for flouting lockdown rules? Chances are I’m being a petty individual however I have a right bee in my bonnet.
Child’s school is constantly reminding us of the lockdown rules and yet I saw 2 of the school governors, their children and 2 other families having a get together last week on the green near a park. Should I raise this with the school? Spouses of same governors have posted pictures of themselves on social media flouting the exercise rules and running in a group of 4.
Should the governors been seen to be representing the school and following the rules or has lockdown rage made me petty?

Yeah that would be absolutely pathetic.

DifficultPifcultLemonDifficult · 05/02/2021 19:03

Fuck it, report them, why not? Let's all turn on each other, make the world a much nicer place.

Socially distanced meet up outside? Hope they bring back hanging for the utter cunts.

user1487194234 · 05/02/2021 19:03

I think that would be an awful thing to do

Frownette · 05/02/2021 19:04

I'd think it was hypocritical but not report

TheChip · 05/02/2021 19:04

Live and let live man. All this tatting on people is ridiculous!

LagneyandCasey · 05/02/2021 19:41

Yes it's petty but its understandable to be a bit irrational at the moment, it's a shit time for everyone. Move on.

StanVic49 · 05/02/2021 19:50

I’m fully aware that I’m being petty twat 😂

Why are you so annoyed by it? What would reporting them achieve? Do you know the exact reasons why they were there? Do you want to be a governor if they have to stand down (pretty demanding unpaid role?). Do you want to make them feel utterly rubbish? Yes it sounds like they may have made some poor choices but by far the better solution would be to have the balls to nobble one of them in person, and ask them directly but politely what was going on.

Dogonahottinroof · 05/02/2021 20:58

Report them to who?

N4ish · 05/02/2021 21:01

Very petty. Just get on with your own life and stay away from these people if you don’t like what they’re doing,

And report them to who? The Headteacher? You’ll just make yourself very unpopular for zero benefit.

AStudyinPink · 05/02/2021 21:06

Just leave people alone. Everyone is struggling. Let’s not turn into little Stasi.

Hoppinggreen · 05/02/2021 21:07

No probably about it

vodkaredbullgirl · 05/02/2021 21:10

Yes

petty

toocold54 · 05/02/2021 21:17

I completely get your frustration! But I don’t know what reporting them will actually do as they’ll probably just deny it or make some excuse up anyway.

Frownette · 05/02/2021 21:22

Think OP is just having a bad day.

MiddleParking · 05/02/2021 21:58

It sounds like it’s one of the spouses OP has the problem with. I suspect she’s one of the many MN users who takes other people having friends as a personal slight.

1Morewineplease · 05/02/2021 22:04

That needs reporting. Double standards.

Notonthestairs · 05/02/2021 22:06

If you are pissed off why not just tell them direct?

stackemhigh · 05/02/2021 22:19

I’ve no tome for covigilantes but this is hypocrisy.

Are the governors urging people to SD too?

Grossedout12 · 05/02/2021 22:20

Leave it fgs 🙄
