Can any dentists tell me if IABU?

I went to the dentist today for a root canal Sad It was at the lower-back of my mouth. Just got home and looled in the mirror and I swear my two upper front incisors look different... slightly more transparent? Especially at the top of the teeth (part furthest from the gum) the transparency is slightly patchy, almost a kind of ‘marbled’ look about them?
The root canal was nowhere near my front teeth through? I’m wondering if they might have got some sort of chemical on them? Of if anaesthetic makes them look different?
... or am I being totally unreasonable and just imagining things?! (I really don’t feel I am, but I admit it seems so illogical!)

Does any of this make any sort of sense?!

Actually, now I look closer, the lower incisors look a bit the same as well...

Sorry, no advice other than this didn't happen to me when I had one. Hopefully it's just a temporary reaction to part of the process.

Can you call your dentist and ask to put mind at ease?

It's probably where your mouth has been open and with suction and the enamel has dried out. Dried teeth look chalky and patchy sometimes. By tomorrow they will have gone back to how they were.

As millymolly said. Give it a other day and check again.

Oh thank you!! I will check and see!

Coming back to update just in case anybody ever has this in the future! Teeth are normal again today Grin
