How open minded are you ?

It has been brought to my attention that I am quite an open minded person.I had a strict upbringing in a large family with fostered and adopted siblings and all of us adult dc have had creative and diverse jobs.I have no body hang ups and not much shocks or embarrasses me.
This got me thinking is it nature or nurture.How open minded are you?

Being open isn't all about having hang ups or being liberal, its defind as a personality trait in quite a defined way. For example I score very highly for openess as a trait bit I'm quite shy in many ways and not cool with communal changing rooms. However like you nothing really shocks or offends me.

I sort of think of being hard to shock or free and easy about your body as being liberal and open minded being more about curiosity to try new things, new food, travel, to be interested in things and be willing to see the other persons point of view. So I think what you are discribing is more that you are very liberal.

Define open-minded first.

I've come to the conclusion that everyone has different defenition to this.

Personally, i wouldn’t count anything you wrote as being open-minded.

How Open Mined Are You?

Your neighbour is sunbathing naked in their back garden. Do you:
A. Barely notice.
B. Have a giggle and leave them to it.
C. Faint. And report them to the police when you come round.

It’s all relative surely? I’m very open minded in comparison to some people and not at all open minded in comparison to others.

How are we measuring it? What’s your scale?

This is kind of what i meant. Some people think it has to do with sex (or nudity) and some people think doing drugs makes you open-minded...

I've had people who hold extreme right-wing views describe themselves as 'open-minded' as an excuse, so maybe it's not such a great trait.

I struggle to answer this, I think I'm very open minded and Liberal... Really happy to be naked / discuss sex with friends / try new things / have done some pretty wild things in my youth etc.
But then I realise how judgemental I am about so many thanks.

I don't think it can be measured. Some people claim to be open-minded but often come unstuck on something.

I think you would have to say what you mean by it. You say you have no body hang ups as a way of proving you are open minded, I don't particularly like my stretch marks does that automatically rule me out?

Fair enough I do mean in regards to sex and sexuality also MH issues as my family have had their fair share and I am compassionate of others having been bullied myself I can see things from others perspective.My colleagues don't appear to have such open honest conversations with their parents.

Being open minded is a subjective not objective trait.
Some people would describe themselves as open minded because they believe that sex work is work.
Other people that they are open minded because they consider that all sex work is exploitation and they are capable of seeing the bigger picture.

Which of these people are being the most open minded is a matter of personal opinion.

Depends how you define open minded, I guess.
