To increase my sertraline dose

Hello, thank you for reading :-)

I have been taking sertraline now for 10 weeks, at a 50 mg dose. I had a horrific first three weeks, with terrible fatigue, and increased anxiety. I felt better from week three, and then really good from week five until week eight.

Recently I've noticed that my OCD is starting to creep in, and my anxiety is starting to creep back.

This is manifesting itself in lying awake at night, my heart pounding, and having panic attacks. As well as increased health anxiety, with OCD tendencies.

The doctor did say that increasing the dose is a fairly common thing, and may be an option.

But I just wondered if it's too soon.

Could anybody who takes it Give me some advice, particularly if you increase the dose?

I don't want to not give it enough of a chance…

Check with your GP first so they are in the loop, but 100mg Sertraline is not an unreasonable dose to be on, esp as you have seen initial benefit, now waned, 10 weeks is OK to increase it. Good luck

Thanks, I was wondering whether I should leave it for another couple of weeks? I'm in the third week of my cycle at the moment, which tends to bring with it anxiety and OCD. So maybe if I let myself go around for another couple of weeks, and then go from there?
