Am I being unreasonable to be fed up of seeing women posing in bikinis in sunny places while we are here in miserable uk. Daily Mail I’m looking at you.
Just stop the preening and put some clothes onGrin and be miserable like the rest of us.

"Put some clothes on" as in covering up?

Try not reading the DM.

YANBU with this part of your post.

AStudyinPink · 31/01/2021 10:02

You don’t have to read it.

cheeseybean · 31/01/2021 10:04

By reading that article you are increasing "clicks" to it and therefore driving DM to write even more bikini based drivel so do your part and delete DM app/don't visit their website/don't buy their paper/never click a DM link.
Get your news elsewhere Grin

Cocomarine · 31/01/2021 10:05

I last wore a bikini in December just before lockdown 3, going open water swimming. It was not sunny. You don’t have to be miserable, but you possibly deserve it for reading that rag 🤣

PlanDeRaccordement · 31/01/2021 10:07

Nothing wrong with bikinis.
I get the jealousy though. I felt it when I read how many resorts are selling very cheap packages to “digital nomads”. So people who are WFH but can WF anywhere in world, could literally pack up and go to Mauritania and live in a holiday resort on the cheap. Meanwhile, the rest of us are stuck in our four walls slogging through Covid.

Theowawaynow · 31/01/2021 10:12

I didn’t think we were even allowed to fly out but am I getting that wrong? Otherwise I might take the kids and big off for a bit!

cliffdiver · 31/01/2021 10:14

YABU for reading the Daily Mail.

NiceTwin · 31/01/2021 10:16

Some of those bikinis though 🙈, they leave absolutely nothing to the imagination and don't seem to flatter even those with the nicest of figures.

BrownFootStool · 31/01/2021 11:10

OMG I am so jealous of my friends in other places who are basically living life as normal, in sunshine, while I'm stuck in the UK with no life and havent seen anything but grey skies since bloody October!

Minimammoth · 31/01/2021 11:47

Don’t get me wrong Indont actually’read’ the daily Mail. I just cast my eye down the sidebar of shame.Grin

Loyaultemelie · 31/01/2021 11:52

I have to put some clothes on to cover the eleventy billion stone I've gained in lockdown Grin

MaskingForIt · 31/01/2021 12:10

I last wore a bikini in December just before lockdown 3, going open water swimming.

Or “swimming”, as it was called in the olden days.

TillyTopper · 31/01/2021 12:27

Doesn't bother me tbh. I mean I'd like to have the body of some of them but that's not going to happen to a mid-fifties IT geek with out a LOT of work I am not going to put in. But good on them, if you have it flaunt it!

AdoraBell · 31/01/2021 12:32

Looking at the side bar on their website? You said you don’t read but look at the side bar of shame. If that’s on the website YABU because they get paid for every click. If you saw it while walking past in a shop YANBU, just avert your eyes.

Reinventinganna · 31/01/2021 12:33

Yabu for looking at the daily mail. I’m off to put my bikini on.

peak2021 · 31/01/2021 12:46

Stop reading the Paper that Supported the Blackshirts.

Hopefully the quarantine in a hotel requirement will put off those who have gone to Dubai for 'work'.

Though when in December I spent a few days in Devon and went to the seaside for a long walk, there were several women in bikinis going for a swim (outside temperature about 10C then). A couple of them had bikinis that covered very little.

Minimammoth · 31/01/2021 13:38

Yes I’ll just go and give myself 30 lashes for looking at daily Mail, my husband says it’ll rot my brainGrin
