Annoying things about Facebook groups (lighthearted)

I'm so sick of being in Facebook groups (parenting ones are especially bad) and seeing thing out of context. Like screenshots of texts with a sad face, no explanation. Or worse when people post

"So me and Luke took Gracie to see my mum. Bobby was there and made a really snide comment about Gracie's hair. I'm really upset but my mum as usual just stuck up for him and told me to leave it"

Who the fuck are Luke Gracie and Bobby?! What's more people blindly comment "aw hun that's not on tell him to fuck off" Confused

Also, "so most of you will know that me and MIL don't get on". Sorry, who are you? This group has 40,000 people why would over 20,000 people know about your MIL? HmmGrin

This is why I am rarely on FB and the only people I am friends with are people I know and more importantly I like in real life,

I had a friend request last week , it was from someone that said they miss seeing me , i checked and we only had one mutual friend but I friended him as I get on very well with the mutual friend
Me ummmm er who are you ?

Him , we use to chat quite often
Me , Oh ok when ? where do you know me from ?
Him, In xxx ( huge local student bar I worked in )
Me oh ok . . . . . . . .

*That will be along with the thousands of other students I served every single weekend I wonder why I dont remember you ???

( * I did not say that to him )

I messaged my mate and asked him if he knew this guy or was he just a FB friend , he said oh god no he will never leave you along now unfriend him for your own sanity .
So I did , I have since had over 30 request off him and he has been trying to get other people ( friends of friends ) to get in touch with me to accept him

Every other person on the lockdown Facebook group who starts their post with ‘this isn’t lockdown related but...’

At this point everything is lockdown related. Just post your question, no preamble needed!

The most annoying thing about FB groups is the relentless MLM huns.

It actually made me quite low last week. A mum group I'm in banned MLM posts. Undeterred, several women posted asking for friends to add them as they were feeling depressed and needed support. I added them, feeling sorry for the them. Within the day, they'd all messaged me asking me to join their "team".

No, Kayleigh. I have a proper job. I don't want to shell out on a load of shite mascara that I'll then have to pester my friends and family to buy.
