Am I being harsh re partner and tenancy

I live in a single occupancy room.
He has stayed with me for 4 weeks so far. The person he usually lives with is vulnerable and will not allow him to return until end of lockdown.
We are planning to move in together in a fortnight which means staying at mine for a fortnight further.
However he has already been here 4 weeks which I know is too long. I feel very bad but the vulnerable person has only just told him he is not allowed to return he was not aware of this before. He can't stay another 2 weeks in my single occupancy. AIBU to ask him to go back until we can move in?

The other person knows they are putting me in jeopardy and won't allow him to come back even if he has a test and isolates in another room which I think is pretty unfair.

maybe just look at your last thread about the same thing - that advice still stands - you are not his mother or his carer - he's an adult and needs to sort himself out

do not move in with him

Given that you're moving in 2 weeks anyway I would just leave things alone and let them stay.

I would be questioning if your partner was still paying rent on the premises they weren't allowed back to though.

Is this other person the owner of the house he rents or just another renter? If the owner, he should stop paying rent. If another renter, they can't force him out of his home. They have to just put up with it and make rules between them to keep each other safe.

You've said, here that you're planning to move in together, in a fortnight.
However, in your previous thread you've said that your planning on moving into another single occupancy with en-suite.

Have you changed your plans?

Irrespective, he should not be with you now and if you're moving to another single occupancy he still won't be allowed to live with you.

Where are you moving to? How will he contribute when you do? Why is he with you now?
