To ask about my smear

I had a smear test today and the nurse said she hopes my results come back ok as my cervix was "hormonal" so may not have got the cells.
What does this mean?!
Am I ok?!
I hope I don't have to do it again due to inconclusive results because it was awful and painful 😩

Too much mucus or blood which could've contaminated sample.

They'll ask you to go back if it's inconclusive.

She was probably referring to where you are in your cycle. The best time to go is in the middle of your cycle (about 15 days after day 1 of your period).

They didn't say anything about booking for a particular time in my cycle. I'm about 18-20 days since the start of my last period.
