To be worried about this mole?

I have a mole on my hip that is mostly covered my my belly (weightloss and section!)

It’s really sore and sometimes itchy. I rang the doctor a few months ago and he said he wasn’t worried from the picture. But it’s raised, itchy and irregular shape.

It makes me so worried :(

Sorry for crap photos I couldn’t take it very well lol

Probably best to see if someone can look at it in person. That doesn’t mean I think it looks dodgy, just that many odd looking moles can be fine, and normal looking ones can sometimes be dodgy if that makes sense.

I have had a couple of Basal Cell Carcinomas removed, and have some sebhorris cysts ( not sure how to spell it sorry), and other varieties of odd looking stuff that are totally ok. Only an expert can tell, and it’s quite a quick process. Gps have a special lens they can look at moles with to see if they need further investigation.

Try not to worry (easier said than done I know, I am also a worrier).

Contact them again. Someone needs to look at that properly in person, not a photo.

Has it changed? I have some moles that have always been there that are a bit like that, I think it's when they change or are new that it becomes a concern.

I'd definitely ask them to look at it in person though to make sure and put your mind at rest.

Because of the shape/soreness, it really should be investigated further. Boots do a mole scanning service- might be worth an appointment.
