Ordering a takeaway in the snow

I’m craving a proper greasy takeaway pizza. I don’t have access to a car at the moment, so it’d have to be delivery. The trouble is that it’s snowed a fair bit today and the roads are not great. It feels mean to expect someone to use the roads simply because I fancy a pizza. WIBU?

If they are open and accepting orders then go for it. If the staff felt they didn't want to risk it then the takeaway would be closed.

Yes I think if they are open they obviously have risk assessed and find it fine.

You are overthinking quite a bit.

If businesses are open they want you to use them. Their staff want to get paid. Give the delivery guy a slightly bigger tip than usual.

BubblyBarbara · 24/01/2021 13:16

Yes if they’re independent delivery people this is how they make their money. A tip will assuage your guilt

Mylittlesandwich · 24/01/2021 13:17

It might take a little longer to get to you but if we don't deliver we don't make money. Don't feel guilty and a tip would be very gratefully received.

Haenow · 24/01/2021 13:29

I’ll definitely tip. :)
I just felt a bit lazy and guilty. Probably overthinking out of sheer boredom. I’ll watch more Netflix !

My neighbours got one about 5 seconds ago! Mind you, the snow isn't too bad here now, it's mostly gone from the pavements.
