Help leaking dishwasher

Hi

So I've had my integrated indesit dishwasher for a few months never used it.
Today was the first time. Towards the end of the cycle, I could see it was leaking, I opened the dishwasher and to my horror the entire thing is all foamed up inside! I immediately turned the machine off, it drained the water, but obviously the foam is still there!!
Why did this happen? Could it be I added too much rinse aid?
I used fairy dishwasher tablet. It was on ECO cycle. Why did it leak. Am so scared to test it again tomorrow In case it leaks again.

Are you sure you put the right things in the right places?
I once accidentally put washing up in the rinse aid compartment. That was a foamy disaster.
Not long after I put soda crystals in instead of salt.
I let someone else deal with it now.

I put the tablet in the correct compartment definitely and likewise the rinse aid in the correct compartment. I currently have the Manual out, I did everything correctly. The manual states you can specify how much rinse aid you want the machine to use on the load. Mine I didn't specify so it would be set on eco as that's what they all set on unless you change it yourself

If it's leaking you need to find the source. Check the pies?

It's not leaking from the pipes. It's coming out of the dishwasher, from the front of it. Like the whole thing was foaming up inside which is why it started leaking out.

also is it normal to have a bit of water remaining inside the pump?

It wasn't a full load tho. Could that be an issue
