I've just seen the absolute most perfect place for me (buying). It ticks every single fucking box but its 6 months too early for me. I cannot imagine that such a perfect place for me will come up again.

Being pathetic and Looking for reassurance that this has happened to others but they still found a perfect place later on! Sad

6 months is nothing. What’s stopping you?

DinosaurDiana · 23/01/2021 09:12

If it’s not right, it’s not right for a reason.
There will be another dream home that’s better.

Bluntness100 · 23/01/2021 09:13

Why six months?

RainbowRaine · 23/01/2021 09:14

Could you complete in 6 months times?

CrotchBurn · 23/01/2021 09:16

Re the six months its because although I've been good about saving, I've had tax stuff and various big surprise payments I've had to make (never rains but pours, it all fell on me at once).

Where I am you have to show lenders flawless bank statements for a good few months so it's too early for me to start the process. My mistake was starting to casually browse too early Sad

I found my dream home but it was just out of our price range. We put in an offer that was the max we could afford, but it was turned down. I carried in looking. A few months later I had a call to say the previous house would accept our offer if we wanted to go ahead. This was the same day I remember texting DP to say the house I had just viewed was “even better than the other one!” We have lived in the second house for 6 years now, it’s still way better than the first one!

Have a look, they might not be in a rush.. I sold mine yesterday over asking price before it went on the open market but on the condition that they wait for us to find something we want because I’m not actually needing/wanting to move unless the next one is absolutely right...

It's taking over 6 months from offer accepted to exchange at the moment
