Minor things that repulse you

I just wiped the sides of my mouth which felt really rough and has utterly grossed me out and now feels really sore.
Other things include
The area younger blood from
Giving blood, see above
Feeling of Jeans, towels and flannels
Smear tests
The list goes on

Repulse is rather strong, but I hate :
Seeing other people’s hair, anywhere unless on their head.
Hearing people eat.
The thought of random people breathing on my face.

I actually feel repulsed at times

Why do people eat apples on the phone?

Winking.
Scampi.
When eyes look red and watery.
People who are too hesitant or simpery, it turns my stomach.
Moustaches without a beard attached.

Dirty finger nails.
If my hands are sticky.
Shaking someone's hand and it's sweaty.
Someone talking with food in their mouth.

Food smears on faces, extra grossness points if there’s a moustache or beard smear.

Big dried splashes of dropped food or drink on the footpath outside shops or pubs.

People doing messy cooking jobs (making pastry, mixing meatballs, etc) with rings and bracelets on. C’mon, you know you’re dumping crud into the food, and collecting extra food in and under the jewellery? Yuk!

Apparently I have food related disgust issues, primarily!

Spitting in the street
Sleep in corner of eyes
Agree with finding random hairs

Cakes with a lot of modelled icing on them. Just the thought that someone has touched the icing so much to work it in to those elaborate shapes 😷

Men with long fingernails

I'm repulsed by thick liquids, like thick soup or even worse, smoothies or protein shakes. I'm not a fussy eater when it comes to actual food but put it in liquid form and the thought of putting it in my mouth turns my stomach.

Ear hair makes me feel ill.
Nose hair also but to a lesser extent. (I actively patrol my DH nostrils)
Greasy hair.
Beards and moustashes. I can't stop thinking about the food and grime in it.

Now I have realised these are all hair based.

Rats!!! I saw one in the garden yesterday, I have felt ill since 😭

I can't stand those strange little facial hair thing men do when they just have a little hair thing under their lip. It is irrational I know but it almost turns my stomach.

Also baseball caps worn backwards. Just why. It looks really juvenile and silly to me.

Clearly I am become a curmudgeon.

The sound of other people eating is so disgusting. And people who lick their fingers whilst eating as well

Gore (broken bones etc)
Spitting
Blowing your nose without a hanky
The feeling of talc, chalk

Cultivating a large, visibly pus-filled spot that has come to a head and not squeezing it.
Looking at someone's white, yellow, green, orange or blackhead that needs a good squeeze makes me very queasy.

Bizarrely house plants

I've really gone off them since someone gave us a Moth Orchid as a house warming present and its horrible visible root system made me think of dead spindly grey fingers so I ended up giving it away on Freecycle.

It's made even more bizarre because I love plants (outside), gardens, nature etc - just not in my house!

Acne
Boogers
Stains on clothes

When someone pulls a hanky out their pocket, blows their nose on it or coughs or sneezes into it and puts it back.

Chapped hands.

Animal hair on furniture/carpet

Getting hair out of the shower drain - have to stop myself from vomming

When people let dogs lick their face/mouth 🤮🤮🤮

I wouldn't describe a smear test as a minor thing! I find them invasive, painful and traumatic.

I find heavy make up, lots of bronzer and contouring and false eyelashes ... I find all that repulsive to look at.

Also lip fillers and facial fillers. Make my stomach turn.

People drinking whilst they still have food in their mouths.take a drink,then chew 🤮

Hearing people breathing and children with snotty noses (before im shouted down I can't stand seeing my own with snotty noses 🤣)

A person drinking while there's still food in their mouth.
White gunky spit balls in the corners of people's mouths.
Men with moustaches and no beards - yuck.
Hairy backs
Moles with hairs growing out of them.

Seeing mens feet in flip flops - bleurghh!

@Yamaya seeing anyone's feet in flip-flops makes me 🤢 particularly the noise of dry feet scuffing in the flip-flops.

Also the smell of unwashed hair.
