Getting Signed Off Work?

I can't cope anymore. I work from home and have great supportive bosses so I should be able to. But very difficult personal circumstances/ home life has meant I just need the world to stop spinning for a week or two so I can gather myself and process things. If I phone my GP do you think they would agree to sign me off? I am worried they and work will just think I ABU and will tell me to get a grip. But I can't sleep for thinking I can't do it all again tomorrow. (Today).

A social worker that should say.

I'm quite sure that they won't pass any details to social services, don't worry about that. You've told them in confidence and they should respect that.

Best wishes for your recovery Flowers

Thanks @DramaAlpaca it's awful the worries that go through your mind when you can't sleep. Sad
