Not feeling good enough?

I have absolutely no confidence in myself.
I never ever feel good enough
I applied online last week for a job I really wanted.
Got a video interview.
Just received a email saying I passed the interview congratulations.
They want me to do a zoom interview with the two managers.
Now ..this is where my brain says I won't pass the interview and to just not bother.
Why do I always self sabotage myself?
I missed the call to book in but I've emailed them saying I'm still interested.
I'm just scared I will fail and then il be put off ever applying again.
Does this make any sense ?

I normally feel the same about interviews, I'm normally dreadful at them, but last autumn got offered two jobs within a week on the back of a teams interview. Normally nerves get the better of me and i come across as being quite awkward.

However, on teams I seemed to lose my inhibitions quite a lot and was able to chat more freely than perhaps I would have done in person. I enjoyed being able to attend the interviews being able to wear my fluffy slippers rather than uncomfortable heels with my smart suit without the panel judging me.

I know it's the Daily Fail but I read this today...might be worth a try?

Yes! I have an interview tomorrow and I'm really tempted to cancel it because I just think I'll be shit. Its horrible isn't it.

Give yourself credit for what you’ve achieved so far. You’ve passed the first interview so you’ve impressed them so far. Focus on your good points and what you did well in the first interview. If you give up now you’ve definitely failed. So go on with the second interview and do your best. The more interviews you do the better you get at them so even if you don’t get the job you’ll be another step closer to getting the next one. And you might surprise yourself and get the job. Prepare in advance for the interview. Is there someone helpful who would role play with you to practise and boost your confidence? Think about what they are likely to ask you and have some answers prepared. Make a list of all your good points and previous experience you can highlight in response to what they ask you. You can do this!!!! Be brave and go for it. Good luck Flowers

Just think what you would say to your best friend or your daughter if they had passed the first interview and had been invited to a second one. I'm sure it would be positive. Then and apply the same commentary to yourself. You can do this. They are interested in you. Give it your best shot.

Put your big girl pants on and just do it. Stop telling us about how useless you are and change the script. It's in your hands, nobody else is going to make your life change. Get on with it.
Big hugs and chocolates, though.
