Are you leaving your decs up until candlemas (2nd Feb) or were you glad to get your decorations down soon after Christmas?

I took everything down on the 5th January apart from the Nativity.
The 3 Kings were only added to the scene on Epiphany so I thought I'd let them all hang out for a bit until they go back in the box til next December!
I regret taking down the lights I had draped over the bushes outside as they looked lovely & just right for grim weather.

I'm superstitious so usually mine only ever goes up the first weekend in December, and always comes down on the 6th January.
However due to circumstances this time I didn't actually get to finish the tree and turn it on until Christmas Day, I didn’t finish it properly so I was happy with it (doing the last move of lights, making sure it looks right and securing the leads to the table leg so they can't be seen. Tree has to go on a table because of the height of the window) until Boxing Day, and we, well I just hadn't had long enough to enjoy it and couldn’t take it down on the 6th. So I've left the tree up until Candlemas on the 2nd February. Not even sorry. (Everything else, cards, sons Father Christmas sign from the window, ornaments and decorations are all away though). Will start closing the shutters again when I feel we’ve subjected the neighbours to it enough).
I always miss it when I have to take it down, the room feels so empty and dark.

I still have some warm white lights in a very big house plant - more like a small tree - in the bay window. It was going to be just until Candlemas, but they look so nice, they’re now going to stay up until all the daffodils are out and/or the clocks have changed to summer time.

Other decs came down on 6th January, as usual.

Took mine down the day before NYE. I love to have everything clear and fresh to start the new year. I put them up earlier than some, though: 1st December.

Took the tree down but have left up the greenery and the lights, and will do until the clocks change and it's not so bleak and depressing.

I am leaving mine up, well just the tree, cheers me up.

My trees still up

The only thing I've left up is a little indoor potted Christmas tree with a red glass pot and red ribbon around the top. I got it from a Waitrose garage and it likes temperatures above 15 degrees so will be staying in my kitchen all year.
