Have just finished watching for the umpteenth time and was musing....

Did he and Charlotte get together in Chicago or did he end up in San Francisco?

Did Niles and Daphne stay together and have many more children?

Did Martin and Ronnie live happily ever after?

And did Roz finally find a man?

Currently rewatching too!

I would love a comeback episode.

I would like to think they all do live happily.

Winterwoollies · 17/01/2021 15:23

I always wanted Roz to get back with her lovely bin man.

CallmeAngelina · 17/01/2021 15:28

Before Covid, there was talk of a new series. Kelsey Grammer was interviewed a few times about the ideas that were being thrown about. He was photographed leaving a studio with a script under his arm.

JimandPam · 17/01/2021 15:29

I love the fact that Roz never ended up with a man.

She didn't need one-she raised her daughter on her own and forged a career with her 'happy ever after' being her big promotion. A great ending to such a fiercely independent character

I've heard talks of revival but with John Maloney (sp?) dead, it'd be hard to bring back I think

CounsellorTroi · 17/01/2021 15:31

Roz and Donny, the guy Daphne jilted for Niles, used to go out together. I hope they got back together. Donny had such lovely eyes.

Sparklesocks · 17/01/2021 15:31

There’s an ep set in a hospital where they do flashbacks and flash forwards and Niles and Daphne having a daughter.

I wondered if frasier eventually ended up with Lilith again as they always seem to find their way back to each other.

I think if you won't watch shows with actors who are arses in them, you won't be watching much telly.

Sparklesocks · 17/01/2021 15:51

Agree many actors have political views I don’t agree with.

I think part of the reason Grammer is such a hard right wing conservative is that his father was murdered in a robbery and in a separate incident his sister was kidnapped, raped and murdered. I’m not excusing his views (he’s anti gay marriage and anti abortion too I believe) but I can see why the Republican ‘hard on crime’ approach was appealing as a young man given what he’d been through.

AlternativePerspective · 17/01/2021 15:57

He’s a character. His private life and political views are not important when you’re watching a character.

Actually, even the children in the show would be adults now wouldn’t they? Frederick/Alice at least and Daphne and Niles’ baby would be 17.

So, I’d guess that Frederick carried on as a Goth and became a rocker.

Alice followed her mum into the radio/production industry,

And the baby is currently on a scholarship to one of the universities because of his baseball skills. Grin

David is the name of Niles' and Daphne's baby. Named after show producer David Angell, who died on one of the planes that crashed into the Twin Towers on 9/11.

chomalungma · 17/01/2021 16:08

Seeing as how he had a complete personality change when he left Boston to go to Seattle, he would probably be a completely different person in what ever new series started.

CounsellorTroi · 17/01/2021 16:10

David Hyde Pierce was a Republican as well. John Mahoney was the least right wing of them.

StillCoughingandLaughing · 17/01/2021 16:13

I like to think Frasier and Charlotte made it work; partly because I’ve never seen Laura Linney in anything and not liked her. I think Roz would never settle down, and would eventually realise it was because she didn’t need to, not because she couldn’t.

I’m in two minds about the potential revival. I absolutely love the show, but the absence of John Mahoney would be too glaring. It could potentially work if David took after Martin and there was a clash of personalities there, but some of the magic would have gone. I feel much the same about the SATC revival sans Samantha.

SpaceBlanket · 17/01/2021 16:18

Roz, I'm going to tell you something I didn't find out until I became a father. You don't just love your children. You fall in love with them. It's that same rush, that same overwhelming desire to see them, to hold them, and bore other people to tears with every detail about them.

I love this quote. I didn't get that love-at-first-sight experience with my babies - I fell in love with them as I got to know them, a little more every day. Just like I did with DH.

CallmeAngelina · 17/01/2021 16:38

@SpaceBlanket, whose quote was that?

I think one of the ideas being suggested was that Frederick had become Martin personified, to Frasier's horror. Kelsey Grammer liked that idea to explore.

SpaceBlanket · 17/01/2021 16:43

@CallmeAngelina Frasier said it to Ros when she was freaking out about having a baby
