Possibly pregnant?!

Hi all, I'm new here. Im 3 days late period was due Friday. I've done 2 clear blue digital test one last night and one this afternoon. Both came back negative. I done a clear blue first response this morning with my first wee and it has what looks like a very faint line. Im wondering could it be an evaporation line? My parter and in-laws can see it. It has a tinge of blue to it. My periods are like clockwork and I've only ever missed with my previous pregnancies.

Try first thing in the morning again op. Only time will tell

Kirst91 · 17/01/2021 15:04

I'm going to wait a couple of days I think. Thank you for the reply

I'm just curious about your relationship with your in-laws, there's no way mine would be looking at my tests 😂

UpShutTheFuck · 17/01/2021 15:16

I hope you get the result you are hoping for OP, but why in god's name are your in laws being shown a stick you have peed on?

queenofSI · 17/01/2021 15:18

your in laws?!

Godimabitch · 17/01/2021 15:22

An evap wouldn't be blue, so there is some HCG in your system which would mean pregnancy. But the fact the line is so light after your period I would worry that it may be a chemical pregnancy. Wait 48 hrs and re test with a line test, not a digital.
Fingers crossed you get the result you want.

I always find it weird these types of posts (of which there are about 10 a week)
Mumsnet are not a bunch of fertility experts.

Why not just be patient and wait a couple more days?

A family member sent us a photograph of a stick she’d pissed on. Some people have no sense of decency!

Patience is unfashionable nowadays. One must immediately announce one’s pregnancy on FB, paint the nursery and starts buying loads of stuff.

In the olden days one wasn't considered pregnant until one had missed two periods, and in many ways it was a much simpler way of doing things.

Kirst91 · 17/01/2021 16:27

I'm very close with my mother in-law she is like my mother. I didn't post on here to be judged. I asked a question to see if anyone else had been in the same position! Not your expert advise. This is my first time posting and I won't be again!

ghostyslovesheets · 17/01/2021 16:34

Well it’s not compulsory

Astormofswords · 17/01/2021 16:36

@Kirst91 you aren’t wrong this place is full of judgemental crazy people. Some posts are about hating inlaws so people will be confused you actually have some up like (I like mine).

Most things people say on here they wouldn’t say to your face as it’s too rude / blunt. Some are nice though, I hope you get the answer you want from your next test.

FelicityPike · 17/01/2021 16:37

A girl I knew POAS in the morning and her 4 year old told everyone about her new baby brother or sister in the afternoon.

PinkiOcelot · 17/01/2021 16:38

Your in-laws?! Fuck me!

alicewasahorse · 17/01/2021 17:01

You're getting a hard time here.

You could try a digital test to be sure and head over to the conception board, it's friendlier than AIBU.

Good luck!

cherrypie111 · 17/01/2021 17:02

Yabu to be asking this on here

There are conception boards for a reason

This. ^

There is usually a photo attached of a negative pregnancy test too. Followed by 100s of posts where 9 out 10 posters are coo-ing 'I SEE A LINE!' AND 'Oooooh congratulations OP.' AND 'You're having a baby whoop whoop!' Wink

Hmm

Followed a few weeks later by a blurry scan photo asking about nub theory.

If you've had sex in the last few weeks then you could be pregnant.

MissBaskinIfYoureNasty · 17/01/2021 17:22

Why are people unable locate the pregnancy section for this stuff? Nobody can decide if you're pregnant over the Internet anyway ffs.

Redcherries · 17/01/2021 17:46

Ouch op, I don’t think I’ve seen quite a pile on like this before.

Definitely give it a first thing in the morning wee, maybe after a couple of days. I’m very close to my mother in law too x

Winterwoollies · 17/01/2021 17:59

I wonder why Mumsnet has such a reputation and I wonder why tabloid journos rake through sifting out the most judgemental comments to cobble into a story?! Honest, the mind boggles. Hmm

Maybe she’s excited or maybe she’s shitting bricks and wanted to just try reaching out to others on a parenting forum? Ffs.
Elsielouise13 · 17/01/2021 18:07

OP I’m hoping ( if you are still here) that you don’t come away thinking everyone who reads/posts on this forum is a keyboard warrior or just someone who feels better if they’ve told someone off.

When I went thro fertility treatments I tested multiple times to the point I got sick of looking and imagining.

It wasn’t unreasonable and neither are you to wonder. Is it unreasonable to ask on this thread? No more or less than the billionty eight other random ‘for traffic’ posts I’d say.

Hope the outcome is the one you want.

Speedyspunker · 17/01/2021 18:10

Ahh the typical MN warm welcome to a newcomer, touching stuff.

OP there really are some nice people here, although given this thread you would be forgiven for thinking otherwise. I hope you get the result you want, good luck.

HettySunshine · 17/01/2021 18:12

There is a 'conception' board in the becoming a parent section. You will get a much kinder response there. I hope you get the result you're hoping for.
