To ask what biden will do in office

Just that really. So far his main selling point so far seems to be not being Donald trump. But what exactly will he do when in office?

Step down fairly quickly I expect.

Is a good start.

Step down fairly quickly I expect.
So why bother putting himself through the campaign in the first place?
OP posts:
QuestionableMouse · 16/01/2021 20:27

Because the people who'll vote for him might not vote for Kamala Harris who is his VP.

cherrypie111 · 16/01/2021 20:27

Whip cats with cooked noodles

Eat his staffers first born children

Shit on the floor a few times

Honestly no one is psychic, why not ask the man himself if you care so much

What a ridiculous comment. First off this is a serious thread so your daft comments are out of place. Secondly how would I possibly ask him myself? And also what a thing to say about “if I care so much” the man is about to become one of the most powerful people on earth so it’s perfectly reasonable to want to know what he’s all about.

Did he have some kind of manifesto? Perhaps you could read that. I'm sure he didn't go around saying "Please vote for me. I'm not Donald Trump".

SenecaFallsRedux · 16/01/2021 20:35

You can come close to asking him yourself by clicking on the link posted by QuestionableMouse above.

Yes I know but it was frankly daft saying “ask him yourself” from a PP who seems irrationally aggressive

Have you done a Google search for his policies? There is a lot of info out there.

I thought it would be an interesting discussion and I know many on MN know a lot about this topic

I don’t get why people would vote yabu? This man will have a say in everyone’s life all arround the world why would anyone have an issue with discussion of what he will do?

OP posts:
VanillaSheHer · 17/01/2021 02:31

Hopefully he avoids getting assassinated. I’m seriously worried about that.

RizzleDrizzle · 17/01/2021 05:49

Yes possiably an interesting discussion but the thing is for people to want to engage you have to be little knowledgable,

Or if your genuinely asking it would have been better to do that before the election because then you seem genuinely interested.

Do you really think he got elected because he isn’t Donald trump?!?!

Of course he got elected because of his policies in the same way trump did, yes even trump had policies, although I’m not sure how many of them he actually enacted I mean he didn’t actually build the wall did he!

What will Biden do in office?!?! He’ll do his heat to enact on which he got elected.

Comments like he got elected because he isn’t Donald trump makes a mockery of politics!

Did Johnson get elected because he wasn’t Jeremy corbyn?!?! No he got elected on his policies princably his get brexit done, sake with Biden he didn’t get elected because he’s not Donald trump he got elected because he’s a democrat, he represents the policies of the Democratic Party.

Because the people who'll vote for him might not vote for Kamala Harris who is his VP

I’m not sure that’s as true as conspiracy theorists make out, but yes there are people who more likely to vote for a white man then they are a black woman. I actually don’t think he will step down but I don’t think he’ll go for a second term. I think Harris will run on her own next election.

BritWifeinUSA · 17/01/2021 05:52

Good question. He’s had 47 years in government including 8 as Vice President where he didn’t really do much but now he reckons he’s got the answer to every problem. We will see. I’m not holding my breath.

One thing he definitely will do is increase our taxes.

Butterymuffin · 17/01/2021 06:00

As pp have said, the answer to your question is easily Googleable. So 'what will he actually do?' does come across as inviting people to have a go, tbh.

@BritWifeinUSA maybe more US citizens will be left alive to pay whatever taxes are levied, once he gets to work on the rampant Covid problem?

Terracottasaur · 17/01/2021 06:06

People are voting YABU because you stated his main selling point is that he isn’t Trump when in reality you just haven’t taken a couple of minutes to google his policies and find out what his plans are.

Terracottasaur · 17/01/2021 06:10

One thing he definitely will do is increase our taxes.

Only if your income is over $400,000 (in which case you can afford it tbh...)

StartupRepair · 17/01/2021 06:14

He will listen to scientists and bring the climate emergency into mainstream discussion.

RizzleDrizzle · 17/01/2021 09:55

Oh and trump has achieved every thing he said he’d do has he? Where’s this wall? Is Hilary in prison?

I’m pretty sure he played a key role in achieving things in the Obama administration

But the fact your more worried about taxes tells us a lot about your political stance and who you voted for.
