To be unsure about this new job?

I've been offered a job in an area relating to the Masters degree I completed last year. Long term this role probably has a better career path. However, I'm nearly 36 and DH and I are looking to try for DC3. I don't dislike the job I currently have and the money/maternity package is roughly the same.

If I took the new job we'd have to hold off TTC for around 6 months to make sure I'd get the (generous) workplace maternity package and I'm aware I'm not getting any younger!

DH says "go with your gut" but I keep flip flopping between taking the new job and staying put. Has anyone been in this position?

YABU- take the new job. The long term prospects are better and TTC could take ages anyway!

YANBU- you're getting old! Get cracking now!

I would take 6 months out for the long term benefits. Take the job.

I'd say only go for it if its a job you really want. It doesn't sound like there's enough in it for you to make it worth giving up six months ttc.
