Cavity wall insulation - essential job right now?

Fully prepared to be told IABU.
7am this morning, I've had less than 2 hours sleep for the third night in a row and these fucking workmen who look about 12 started drilling and pumping shite into the walls of next door. (Detached house, but woke up with a jump as it sounded and felt like they were working on our house).

I am so fucking angry, and tired and just plain exhausted. DP has worked 14 hour days every day this week and today was our one chance for a lie in together.

Really don't want to fall out with neighbours over this, but is it essential work right now?

They've also made a mess of our front garden with white foam everywhere and their pipes laid all across the garden. DP has already been out and told them to clear it up and get their stuff off our garden.

I hate feeling this full of rage, and I am now on the way to spend a day working with DP in a freezing cold garage, which is preferable as it will be much quieter. I just wanted to veg at home and chill out ready for the onslaught of next week with another gruelling round of homeschooling 3DCs while working full time......

Some one offer me some sympathy?!

Oh that's tough. Not much to look forward to these days so I bet you were really looking forward to that lie in ! But you're up now, hopefully they'll not be there tomorrow.

In answer to your AIBU. Sorry but I'd argue that insulation falls under essential maintenance.

It’s not essential but it is allowed.

At 7am perhaps not though.

Our neighbours are lovely and definitely not worth falling out with them over and they have phoned and apologised which is nice of them!
I'm still super exhausted though and cold now too!!
I need to remember there are much bigger things going on in the world than this!!
Thanks for not totally flaming me!!!!
