To call pest control?

I got up this morning to find my two indoor cats playing with the body of a dead mouse on my upstairs landing Envy no idea how a mouse has accessed the house! Looked everywhere for signs of others like droppings etc but can’t see any. My DH thinks it’s a one off random mouse and just to leave it at that. I think where there is one there is more and I want the house treated for an infestation of mice. Prepared to hear I’m being OTT but the cats are indoors specifically so I don’t have to deal with corpses of small animals!

Yep over reaction

Pest control wouldn’t bother anyway. Think they would likely tell you to get a trap yourself to see!

I disagree. I think pest control would be willing to get involved.

But some traps and get your husband to set up to see if you have them. Do the cats not go outside?

*buy

I have an indoor cat, I would definitely think there was an infestation problem if a dead mouse turned up.

Part of our home is very old, backing onto ditches, etc. I think if you have one mouse you probably have more. We've had this problem. However I would never use mousetraps, as I think they're cruel. And the so-called 'humane' traps are even crueler. But mice can be destructive. The last time we had a mouse/mice I put a stepladder up against our bin and placed an empty kitchen paper tube, which had peanut butter smeared at the end, across the steps and the bin. It didn't take long before the mouse fell into the bin and was then given a new home in a field a few miles away.
