I've not had a coffee yet, so I'm probably being totally dense. Why would it be unreasonable?

Scarlettpixie · 14/01/2021 07:54

I don’t understand either.

Joytotheworld2021 · 14/01/2021 07:55

Just posting here for traffic Smile Enjoy your coffee.

Do you mean because it's not an essential purchase?

DDiva · 14/01/2021 07:56

If you want the rug, buy the rug Hmm

GeorgieTheGorgeousGoat · 14/01/2021 07:58

Multiple posts for a non essential rug you need urgently. Either buy one, or wait? I don’t get it.

Joytotheworld2021 · 14/01/2021 07:59

Thanks for your replies. Sorry, my original post wasn't clear. If anyone has ideas as to how to achieve this - recommendations - that would be great. Thanks.

What’s your actual question? Whether or not you should buy a rug or are you asking for rug recommendations? YABU for not making yourself clear.

Strawberrycreamsundae · 14/01/2021 08:00

Why would you be unreasonable?
😳

Erm, go to an actual shop in person if they are open. Phone your local independent and see if they can help.
JM10 · 14/01/2021 08:01

Well generally you go to a website that sells rugs and you order one.

Stupidusernamefaff · 14/01/2021 08:02

Prime?

Cuntitinthebin · 14/01/2021 08:03

AIBU is getting really fucking dull these days.

Joytotheworld2021 · 14/01/2021 08:03

Thank you very much for your responses. Flowers

I’m sorry I don’t really understand either. Are you asking for recommendations for companies who do next day deliveries on rugs?

EmmaGrundyForPM · 14/01/2021 08:04

You're still not explaining why you think you might be unreasonable to order a rug to be delivered.

Some people will say that its OK because you're not leaving the house, others will say you're putting the delivery people at risk fir a mon essential delivery.

I personally think you're overthinking this. If you want to buy a rug just do it. I ordered a load of cheap towels recently to cover the floor. Not strictly essential but the dog spreading mud everywhere after every flipping walk was doing my head in.

Sethy38 · 14/01/2021 08:07

Forget the rug

And focus on improving communication skills!

Joytotheworld2021 · 14/01/2021 08:09

Sorry, I probably should have explained the urgency. We managed yesterday to get our estate agent to agree to a week's notice to terminate our contract owing to their woeful service. The estate agent told us yesterday they will be doing conducting a few viewings on Saturday. I've had an email this morning that the rug we ordered yesterday won't come in time. Ergo the urgency.

Thanks for your help everyone. Flowers

Well that rug is sold in Dunelm. Are they still doing click and collect? If so you can do that - order online and go get it in 3h. If not you’ll have to wait for delivery.

I too am confused by the thread.

Joytotheworld2021 · 14/01/2021 08:10

Sethy

*Forget the rug

And focus on improving communication skills!*

Maybe you could focus on being a little less rude? Or ignoring a post which isn't clear to you? Just a thought. Thanks for your input.

RigaBalsam · 14/01/2021 08:10

So you would like suggestions where to find a rug at short notice? As Pp said try Amazon prime or Argos does same day delivery sometimes.

WillYouDoTheFandango · 14/01/2021 08:11

Dunelm are still doing click and collect if you have one nearby.

Eviebeans · 14/01/2021 08:14

If the problem is that the old rug is damaged in some way simply remove for the viewings. If you need it to replace an old one because it is part of the inventory for the property hopefully the original one will arrive by then...

RickiTarr · 14/01/2021 08:15

Can’t you do viewings without a rug?

Next day delivery feels ambitious.

Lochroy · 14/01/2021 08:22

I think the OP has been at the vino. Even her "clarification" post makes no sense in terms of what she's actually asking!

OP, what is your question?
