AIBU to wonder how Red Nose Day will be able to go ahead this year? How will they be able to do it?

What a strange thing to worry about! I’m sure they’ll have the usual telethon thing and if people want to donate they will.

Why can’t it go ahead? Lots of other shows are.

Red mask day? Masks with noses on?

With furlough and job losses I doubt it will be popular

Children in Need happened a few months ago. Obviously different, but the live show was on with different segments. socially distanced guests and virtual children’s choir. Asda were selling the usual Pudsey merchandise. So perhaps similar will happen for RND.

The projects they support will be needed more than ever in the recovery from the pandemic.And yes job losses and furloughs IME it's a tale of two halves .Many of our family and friends are actually better off with all the money they would have spent on holidays and meals out,pensions coming in regardless etc boosting their savings.Not in our household .We've actually had to dig deep into savings.But thankful we even had some and would still donate something.

Probably pretty much exactly like Children in Need did. The tv show was shorter than usual and every time they asked for donations they stressed that they understood things were difficult and asked people to give if they were able to, and if not to just enjoy the show, rather than just “everyone please donate”
