To want to end it over this

Feel like I am always begging for love and affection from my DP. We get on well in loads of ways but I have told him many times that I need to feel more love from him. Just things like saying I love you, that I care about you, or that I miss you when away with work.

Maybe IABU but I’ve explained that this is really important to me a lot of times and still nothing changes. Not sure what to do Confused I just wonder if living a life feeling unloved is worth it.

Well. It’s not unreasonable to want to feel loved but I suppose it depends on what you currently ‘get’ from him at the moment.

Does he not express love and affection at all?

Hankunamatata · 13/01/2021 21:36

Well he isnt the person for you by the sounds of it.

Dh never says anything like that but he shows his love by cups of coffee, special treats from the shop, letting me have an extra lie in. He doesnt need words. He shows it

I’m guessing this isn’t the only issue in your relationship.

Try reading the love languages book. He may be telling you he loves you in different ways than you prefer to hear.

Before you end it, read the book "love languages".
