And I’ll be 40. It just hit me today, is this the start of decline in health and general outlook? I don’t know why I feel this way but it feels like the start of not something positive...
I’m a size 6 has been fit the last 20 odd years, even during pregnancy I didn’t really gain much weight. I do exercise, need to increase yoga sessions, don’t smoke or drink do that should be a positive I suppose?

It’s the start of whatever you want it to be, for me it was looking after myself, going back to college, getting a new qualification and new job!

Health wise I think sadly it is the start of a decline for many people, yes. Not necessarily anything serious but most of my friends who are over 40 have one niggle or another most of the time.
Outlook, definitely not, I'm about to turn 50 and my 40s have been the best decade by far.

I agree. I will be 50 in a couple of weeks and, looking back, my 40s have been great. I feel like it was the decade I settled into being me. I know that sounds wank!

That’s positive, health wise planning to have a strict regime to sort the small niggles early as possible

I had my second baby 3 weeks before my 41st birthday. I have enjoyed my 40s.

You gain in experience and wisdom, skill and knowledge. You know yourself better than you did when younger and know others. Physical decline can happen at any age but you can take positive steps to look after your body and stay well and healthy.

Why do people post this stuff. It’s ridiculous

Same here!

I can’t say my 40’s have been great tbh. But that’s been due to some tragic circumstances beyond my control. But I also think I’ve struggled being a slightly older mum....
