To wonder how this interview will take place? Vaccination volunteer

I have volunteered as a Vaccine Supporter via St John’s Ambulance. I was approached as I was an NHS responder. DBS complete and I booked and interview via the portal for later this week.

I haven’t been informed which medium this interview will take. I’m assuming telephone but the application process did not specify. I didn’t get an email confirming it although it does show on the application portal.

Has anyone else had their inter with St John’s and if so was it a phone call?

NHS interviews are either MS Teams or Zoom.

Ah ok thanks. This is St John’s for the NHS so maybe the same. I assumed I’d get some sort of confirmation email with details

I had my interview via Microsoft teams. I think I got an email quite quickly after booking it, but I also got one from the person conducting it the day before.

@SpringerMonster that’s reassuring thanks. Hopefully they will email the day before. Was the interview straightforward?

I've just checked back my emails and I definitely got a confirmation email with the link and a how to guide for teams. Maybe check your junk mail? Or there should be a contact email on the portal.
The interview was straightforward yes, about 4 'interview' questions, things like 'tell me about a time you had to ask someone senior for help'. And then some practical questions (like am I scared of needles!). Only about 20 mins in total.

Thank you OP and everyone else volunteering for this.

@SpringerMonsterthats helpful thanks v much. Nothing in junk but sounds like I will get an email before. I’ve emailed the contact address too

I had mine today via Teams too

hardheadedwoman · 11/01/2021 20:14

@BiscuitTea did you get details the day before too?

I had an email from the recruiter saying that there have been issues with the invites getting through so she sent it separately. You can email the contact centre via the application website if you haven't had it yet

hardheadedwoman · 11/01/2021 20:30

Thanks for that, I emailed them just now so hopefully I’ll get details in time.

I was wondering this too! I haven’t been able to book the interview yet - I emailed and had a reply that they had a lot of applications and to expect a delay. Sent my application a week ago and have been told the next step is to book the interview. It’s so frustrating. Did this happen to any others on here?

underneaththeash · 11/01/2021 20:50

Mine was on teams.
