Photo cards

Just received a birthday card from a family member. It's a personalised photo card from one of those websites.

All the photos on the card are just of their son, my nephew. Just my nephew, not photos of us together.

It's the same every year; not just due to lack of photo opportunities together this past year.

AIBU to think this is a little self absorbed? Or am I miserable prick?

Yes, I hate those cards with a passion. I can see, at a push, having a photo sent to grandparents inside a card but a birthday card is meant to be about the birthday person not the one sending it.
Most people don’t get that others don’t really care about other people’s children and don’t want a card/mug/calendar with them on.

Op it would have been better for it to be photos of you together obviously but it's not something to give too much headspace too.

Not enough to have crap with just their face on display in my house.

It just feels a bit "me, me, me"
