DH came home from work on Monday with some sniffles. Tuesday morning felt a bit rough also with a cough but worked from home. Weds felt worse with a cough, sneezing, slight tightness in chest but no temperature. No improvement since.

I have had a sore throat since yesterday, no other symptoms.

We both sent our tests off yesterday and had the results emailed to us. His came back negative around 10pm and mine came back positive around 11pm.

Just slightly confused by it. We will both continue to self isolate regardless.

He has to isolate anyway with your positive

He doesn't need another test because he has to self isolate anyway

Wait til track and trace contact you. They told my cousin with a negative to retest as her symptoms where worse than her positive partner. She was then positive.

When I booked mine, it would only let you book if you were within 5 days of symptoms starting, so its possible it won't let him retake a test by tomorrow anyway. Although this may well have changed since then of course.

He may be past the window and had it for some time

He has been at work if he is positive he needs to notify all contacts

You can do 2 tests

This was me. I tested negative and felt quite unwell, mostly cold symptoms - sore throat, runny nose, bit of a cough. My DD tested positive and after a week I retested and I was positive.
